The start of something new...
Ok so we've had an idea, and well it's a good one, that seems in reasonably high demand.
We've done some market research to our friends, and decided it is worth pursuing.
We've produced a few mockups and showed them to people.
An ideal full go live date has been arrived at.
There has been some research into how much advertising will cost for various papers.
So in the not too distant you will be able to type in your postcode, and get all the local takeaway menus in one place. That's our aim.
All that is left is to produce the idea.
The 'easy' bit ?

I really like the idea of being to put my postcode into a website, and getting a list of the local menus.
Despite all the menus that come through the door I never seem to have one when I want a takeaway.
Thanks Si, we hope to bring this service to you in South Manchester (our trial area) soon.
How's about in London/N8? Saves me rumaging through the recycle bin for out-of-date menus!
sounds like a good idea!! i'd use it and so would my friend who saw this too. I never have enough take away menus!!!
Thanks for the comments.
Wendy; grabTheMenu.com will be available in those areas of London with demand after our trial in Manchester. Get other people to let us know their post codes and we will start the ball rolling in those areas. Thank you for your interest.
Debs; Thanks for the comment. I hope this will solve your shortage of takeaway menus for the takeaways in the Withington area.
I live in South Manchester (M21) and I have been in that annoying position of looking for menus but not having any to hand. That's particularly irritating as I'm surrounded by takeaways. Lazy, moi?
Brilliant idea! Looking forward to using it!
It's making me hungry just thinking about it! Be cool if the website is easily accessible with a mobile phone to for those feeling-hungry-on-the-way-home-from-the-pub moments.
Thanks tickletart we'll do our best to include M21 in our trial area in South Manchester. We're glad you like the idea too :)
Thanks ben too. Once we're a bit more established a mobile version, should be able to locate you automatically so you wouldn't even have to type in where you are! How lazy is that! It'll be in a later phase for sure.
